J&A employs the latest developments in technology and methods to fulfill our responsibility to the communities and environments in which we operate by working in a way that is safe and sustainable.

We continue to be involved with LEED Certified projects and have a proud record of achievement in sustainable construction.

The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System™ encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria.

In particular, the LEED for New Construction Rating System is designed to guide and distinguish high-performance commercial and institutional projects, including office buildings, high-rise residential buildings, government buildings, recreational facilities, manufacturing plants and laboratories.

The success of the program has been enhanced since many State and local governments have adopted incentive programs including tax credits, tax breaks, density bonuses, reduced fees, priority or expedited permitting, free or reduced-cost technical assistance, grants and low-interest loans.

At J&A we are committed to employing cost effective and innovative methods of enhancing and better protecting the natural environment; minimizing construction's impact on the consumption of energy and natural resources while making construction more profitable and competitive.

We believe this approach enhances relationships between construction companies, developers and community stakeholders.
